The Art Of Powerdrifting

"You are speeding down the roads Ha-Kone Mountain, practicing the dangerous art of Powerdrifting. Tune your own vehicle to your driving style and hit the road!"

This is my second game made for the One-Page RPG Jam 2024.

I had a second idea while finishing up the first one, so I struck while the iron was still hot.

The entire game is on one page, including the 'tiles' that need to be cut out. You will need a pencil, eraser and 5 regular dice (possible with 2 if you don't mind constant writing and erasing).

 The unique mechanic in this game is that you must physically tilt the paper to simulate drifting and switch the ruleset from normal driving to Powerdrifting.

If you like to listen to some on-theme music, you can get some mechanical bonuses for putting on that particular genre of racing music! It's completely optional of course, just an interesting mechanic I wanted to put in for fun.

I was inspired by bigger racing-themed board games that have multiple boards to serve as an ongoing track. I wanted to make a condensed version of that, while still giving a unique flair to the game. I wish I had more time to strengthen the visual side of things but I realised halfway through that I'm not too invested in drawing cars...oh well :)
